How to Book a Electric Avenue DJ!
1. Call or email us with your request. We'll need your:
- Contact Information (name, phone, email, fax)
- Date of event
- Type of event or celebration
- Number of hours for event
- Estimated number of guest if available
- Location of event
2. We'll verify if one of our professional DJs is available for your event date.
3. We'll send you your online password to make online changes to your event.
4. Once you print the online contract, fill it out, mail it back to us. Your event will be officially booked when we receive your deposit. We have the option now to pay through PayPal. 5. A Electric Avenue staff member will stay in contact with you. We can also meet with you to discuss your event, and ideas for no extra charge. In most cases, we will visit your event location before your date, just to make sure we have the proper address, equipment, available outlets and space for your event.
6. 2 days before your event, a Electric Avenue staff member will confirm your event, it's location directions if needed, confirmation on your package and to answer any other questions you have.
7. On the day of your event, your DJ will arrive before your event to set up, test equipment and lighting, confirm your playlist and prepare for your party.
8. ENJOY the fun and memories our DJs will bring to your special day and guests!!
Refunds
Contracts vary depending on event. Your contract will have information regarding refunds due to cancellations.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT:
- A $100.00 or $200.00 (depending on package)deposit is required for all events..
Deposits are required to officially reserve your date. We can take this payment in the form of:
CASH,CHECK, MONEY ORDER,VISA,MASTERCARD and PAYPAL
This allows our dj's to be 100% prepared for your event, including special instructions, song research and selection preparations, equipment, travel preparations, light testing, and more.
The balance will be due 2 weeks prior to your event. Services can not be rendered until full payment is received.
Host Responsibilities
Electric Avenue will do all we can in our power to prepare for your event, but something's we can't do without your help.
TO MAKE THINGS EASIER FOR OUR DJs and BETTER FOR YOUR EVENT:
Please reserve a parking spot near the entrance of your event for quick unloading and loading
Please be sure our djs will be able to have access into the event room 1-2 hours before the even for set-up time.
Please be sure your dj has plenty of set-up space where electrical outlets are available, near and accessible for our dj equipment. Our DJs will have Electric Avenue identification.
We'll take care of the rest!
Weddings/Receptions
Your Electric Avenue DJ Wedding service includes everything you need to plan and coordinate your wedding reception entertainment.
All this is included at no extra cost:
- Bride and Groom wedding DJ party planner
- Telephone or personal consultations prior to your most special day
- Equipment setup prior to the event start time
- Complete sound system
- Friendly and motivational DJ/MC to coordinate and play your choice of music
- A large variety of your requested music
- Equipment take down and removal after the event end
- Our dedicated commitment to providing an excellent and memorable ceremony.
- Lighting is also essential for setting the mood you want for your wedding. Some brides prefer only dim lights for romantic, social or outdoor-day dancing, while others prefer a more upbeat lighted atmosphere. Whatever your preference, we have the lighting package you want at no extra charge.
Wedding Reception Essentials
Electric Avenue DJs will do a tremendous amount of work at your wedding reception. Studies have shown that brides prefer to spend more on entertainment than almost anything else. This is wise! Entertainment is what helps make a wedding reception fun, social and memorable!
Our DJs don't just "play music track by track". They run a smooth program so you can get the great photos, control organization of your itinerary, music requests, announcement of wedding party and more.
Summary: Our DJs will:
- Play back ground music as guests arrive
- Greet the Bride and Groom & line the wedding party
- Introduce the wedding party, then Bride and Groom
- Introduce the start of the buffet line (if applicable) and the Bride and Groom, wedding party and family is served first.
- Check with Bride and Groom during dinner
- Introduce Best Man and Maid of Honor Toast
- At appropriate time, introduce the First Dance with Bride and Groom and then other specific dances that my be requested (Bride and Father, Wedding Party, etc.)
- Introduce cake cutting time
- And more as requested!!
When you meet with our Electric Avenue DJ Event Planner, we will gather all information needed to make your special day perfect.
Keeping it Special
During your wedding planning or during your reception, we welcome any other changes or special requests. Our DJs will keep your itinerary with them and note any changes. We offer a basic wedding reception format and we will modify it to your specific needs.
Your DJ will be very much like a wedding MC coordinator, BUT we will not get in the way or steal the show.
This is YOUR DAY and we strive to keep it SPECIAL.
DON'T SKIMP ON YOUR ENTERTAINMENT!!
Hiring the cheapest DJ can end up in a wedding nightmare! You don't want:
- Unprofessional or inadequate sound systems.
- Too much or inappropriate lighting .
- Music with profanity or insults.
- MUSIC you don't want to hear.
- Inexperienced DJ without backup equipment in case of failure.
- A DJ who ONLY plays what HE wants.
- An unprofessional DJ who's late, ill-dressed or doesn't show up to your event.

School Dances & Proms
Electric Avenue is family owned and operated.
Our DJs are experienced performing for today's youth. ALL our music is updated weekly to today's popular hits and edited for school, church and youth functions. Even today's radio-edits can be inappropriate. Electric Avenue ensures we don't use profanity and explicit lyrics in youth related functions.
We understand that small schools have an even smaller budget. If you're a small school with a tight budget, please call us and we'll do our best to help you!
School Dance, Prom, and Homecoming Package
